Reimagining education!

By children, for children.

A group of children came together in May 2020 to understand the current landscape of Indian education and how it is affected during the pandemic. They did primary field research (virtual) by conducting interviews with educators from remote villages in India. The insights they gathered from these conversations led them to formulate an outstanding problem statement to solve.

“How might children from rural India get access to scholastic studies without tech access during the pandemic”.

The question was driven from deep rooted empathy — a quality that is present in all. They co-created the solution along with the rural educator. Again, the desire to design solution WITH people, not FOR people.

Their solution is as simple and common sensical as possible.

To create a framework to write story magazines and involve all older children to write concepts related story magazines for younger children. These magazines can be distributed through public distribution system.

When it came to prototyping their idea, these young innovators had to go through several rounds of iteration before they landed on their current framework.

The reason was simple enough when asked why they chose this solution over many others. They wanted to start with what people already have.

They are currently reimagining education by inviting many of their peers to be a part of this movement.
